Child Protection Curriculum

All Department for Education sites in South Australia are required to teach The Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum.

All teaches are required to receive training in this curriculum before it is taught.

The Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum  teaches children from a young age to:

  • recognise abuse and tell a trusted adult about it
  • understand what is appropriate and inappropriate touching
  • understand ways of keeping themselves safe

It is taught in every class each year.
